The counting collection
One box has two shells. The other box has many stones. Each stone is part of our collection. Some are smooth. We count all of them and write the number before adding more.
Teacher-supported practice text. An adult reads untaught words; learners read taught targets and discuss the meaning. This is not a controlled decodable passage.
