Read the first line on the page. Say each sound as you spell a familiar word. A letter may work with another letter. Write a sentence to tell how your model works, then show it.
Teacher-supported practice text. An adult reads untaught words; learners read taught targets and discuss the meaning. This is not a controlled decodable passage.
