A look inside

A family oral history

The children ask a family member about life when he was young. Their father tells how a girl taught him a game. Both remember the important rules. Together they write their own account.

Teacher-supported practice text. An adult reads untaught words; learners read taught targets and discuss the meaning. This is not a controlled decodable passage.
