Spark Good Local Grants
Walmart and Sam’s Club
Local schools and organizations can propose a community reading or math project to a nearby Walmart, Sam’s Club or distribution center.
Who can apply?
- Eligible public or nonprofit private K–12 school, charity or government entity, verified by Deed. Schools need an NCES number or qualifying nonprofit status.
- Request at least $250 for the complete project. Serve the same community as the selected facility. A household or individual teacher is not the applicant; use an authorized organization account.
What could it support?
Propose a local education project and itemized resource budget. Ask the funder to confirm software and subscription costs; Glow is not listed as an approved product.
Ask the funder to confirm Glow, the number of learners, the license period and the purchasing method before buying. A listed expense category does not by itself approve a specific product.
Who receives your request?
Walmart / Sam’s Club · the selected local facility’s grant review team
The organization’s authorized representative submits through Spark Good. Prepare the draft here, then review the portal’s current requirements.
How to submit
- Open the organization account and complete Deed verification.
- Select a facility serving the project’s community. Confirm the current cycle and proposed subscription expense.
- Transfer the edited project and budget into the application, review attachments and submit. Save the confirmation.
