Permission to learn with Glow.

Glow Education LLC provides math and reading practice for children through Glow Math Facts, Glow Sight Words, and Glow Math & Logic. An adult manages the account and any learner profiles.

What a learner account saves

We collect a nickname, username, protected password, practice responses, correctness or self-checks, response time, and practice dates. The supervising adult can add learning plans, check-ins, and teaching notes. Essential session information keeps the learner signed in. Learners do not need an email address, birthday, home address, photograph, or health information.

How this information is used

We use it to provide learning activities, save progress, and show reports to the supervising adult. Our hosting and database services process it to operate Glow. Clerk handles adult sign-in; Stripe handles web purchases. We do not sell learner information, use it for advertising, or share it with AI model providers for training. Our Privacy Policy explains these services and your choices.

Parent or guardian permission

A parent or legal guardian signs the authorization form and returns it for review. Household permission covers only that parent’s own children. For a tutor, each learner needs permission from their own parent or guardian. Payment or an account checkbox does not replace the signed authorization.

School-authorized learning

An authorized school or district representative confirms Glow’s use for the school’s educational purposes and identifies the permitted educator and scope. Glow verifies the representative’s authority using an independently obtained school contact. School authorization does not permit advertising or unrelated commercial use of student information. Schools make this notice available to parents and coordinate requests to review or delete records.

Your choices and retention

You may decline, withdraw permission, review records, and request deletion. Withdrawal stops further learner access. Existing records remain available to the supervising adult for export or earlier deletion for up to thirty days after permission ends, then are due for deletion under our retention policy. The policy also sets a twelve-month limit for learner profiles and linked history without learning or teaching activity. Deleting a learner removes active records; restricted database recovery copies expire under the backup schedule described in the Privacy Policy. Minimal authorization evidence is retained for one year after authorization expires or is withdrawn, for accountability.

Free activities and public lesson previews remain available without a managed learner profile. Permission is separate from newsletter signup and subscription consent.
