A look inside

From an idea to a story

An idea becomes a story on paper. We list one thought for each page of our book. We talk about an example and hear a song that fits the mood.

Teacher-supported practice text. An adult reads untaught words; learners read taught targets and discuss the meaning. This is not a controlled decodable passage.

The complete lesson pairs this reading sample with teacher-led word practice, conversation, and a student response. Its printable materials include word cards for revisiting the same words and a separate answer key for the grown-up.

Use Glow Sight Words as a practice companion. The printable lesson also works away from a screen. Full teaching materials are included with a paid adult account.

Glow pathways: Pre-K and Kindergarten starters from the first hundred; Grade 1 first hundred, Grade 2 second hundred, Grade 3 third hundred. These grade assignments are Glow’s teaching choices.

All 100 words in Fry’s 3rd 100 group. Ten banks of ten, each divided into three short sessions. Grade placement is a Glow pathway, not an official Fry level.
