Funding request draft · Title IV-A student support funding
Glow learning project
Prepared for: Your district’s Title IV-A coordinator or Federal Programs Director, with your principal
Project summary
[Add school, organization or family project name] requests support through Title IV-A student support funding for Glow Together. The project will serve 20 learners in [select grade range], using small-group instruction over 8 weeks beginning [add start month or term]. The instructional goal is to strengthen taught reading and math skills through guided and independent practice.
Learning need and goal
[Describe the observed learning need. Use group-level observations; do not add student names, diagnoses or private records.]
Goal: Strengthen taught reading and math skills through guided and independent practice. The educator will use a brief starting check to choose the target skills and set an appropriate measure of progress.
Activities and Glow resources
Glow Sight Words provides high-frequency-word practice to use alongside explicit phonics instruction and connected reading. Glow Math Facts provides practice with addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, supported by mathematical models and strategy discussion. Glow Math & Logic includes nine workshops covering number trains, whole and parts, sorting, skip counting, patterns, number lines, ten-frames, equal groups and shapes.
The educator will lead 3 sessions per week, approximately 15 minutes each, for 8 weeks. Sessions will connect explanation and modeling with guided practice, independent responses and printable follow-up. Pacing guides, teaching resources and learner progress records will support planning.
Where enabled for an authorized learner, M.I.R.E.R. (Monitor, Inform, Reinforce, Evaluate, Reward) helps the adult review practice patterns and choose targeted reinforcement. The educator reviews recommendations and decides the next teaching step.
Progress and evaluation
Use a brief independent starting check for the selected skill. Review responses weekly, recording work completed independently separately from work completed with hints or adult support. At the end of the project, use comparable tasks and a later recheck to assess retention. Report participation and skill performance separately, using group-level information in external reports. Set the success criterion after the starting check and record it before instruction begins.
Budget justification
1 annual adult Glow Together license × $29.99 = $29.99. Other project materials: $0.00. Planned request: $29.99 before any unquoted taxes or fees.
The starting unit price uses Glow’s published introductory web price. This is a planning estimate; request an itemized quote before submission. Describe and itemize any other materials. A shared license supports up to 40 learners; an individual scholarship may pay only its eligible student’s share. Confirm product allowability and the required purchasing channel.
Implementation and renewal plan
The adult project owner will coordinate purchasing, learner authorization, scheduling and review of progress. Use existing suitable devices where available. The instructional project lasts 8 weeks; the proposed subscription term is one year.
Current published renewal pricing is $59.99 per adult license per year. Confirm quote-specific terms, taxes and fees. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled; the account owner will review continued use and the funding source before renewal. The initial request does not assume the funder covers later years.

Submission instructions
This is a district budget request. A teacher sends the proposal to the district; the district manages the federal application and purchasing process.
- Find your district’s official staff directory and look for “Title IV-A,” “Federal Programs” or “Grants.” If no contact is listed, ask the principal or district office to identify the budget owner.
- Confirm the recipient’s work email and the district’s required request form. Send your proposal and itemized quote through that email or internal purchasing system.
- Ask the coordinator to review the school plan, expense classification and budget availability. Include technology, accessibility and privacy review when required.
- Wait for written purchasing approval before ordering. Keep the approved request, purchase order, invoice and implementation records together.
